Introduction

Q1. Could you give us a short introduction about you and how you get into NAOS Finance?

Hi, this is Bob. I am an experienced founder in the e-commerce and technology space. My interest in NAOS lies in the value I think NAOS will bring into the commerce world. As someone who was a founder of a supply chain company, I understands that bringing real world assets onto chain is the future.

Kevin Tseng is co-founder of NAOS Finance. He co-founded Zalora (acquired by Central Group), and was early employee at Rocket Internet where he built FoodPanda’s Taiwan presence (acquired by Delivery Hero), Lazada (acquired by Alibaba Group), and Groupon Southeast Asia (acquired by Tencent Holdings). A veteran of the startup scene, Kevin is bullish on the future of DeFi and views the space as the next logical step for institutional and personal finance. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Q2. Can you please briefly describe what is NAOS Finance and how it works?

NAOS is having an ambitious plan to revolutionize the entire DeFi industry as we know it

Right now, DeFi is 100% crypto and is only for the people in Crypto

NAOS is building a “real world asset” based infrastructure that connects traditional finance and DeFi

this will allow traditional companies and individuals to borrow from DeFi, also allows DeFi technologies and innovations to be used in the real world

the way it works is: traditional companies and submit loan request, it will be evaluated by multiple validators and the assets will be tokenized into NFT

then by using the NFT as collateral, they will be able to borrow money in a decentralized manner

Q.3 Please tell us some progress & achievement from NAOS Finance Roadmap.

From the product POV. NAOS Finance Protocol is one that bridges TradFi and DeFi, with complex operational and technical design.

We will launch the entire protocol in stages, first with “Formation” — the Liquidity Protocol, then with “Galaxy” — the Lending Protocol.

We are working on several partnership now, for example, we got the green light from MakerDao community vote.

As a bridge between DeFi and TradFi, the NAOS Finance Protocol is designed to encompass both funding/liquidity and lending components.

We have already originated 300M real-world asset.

From investor point of view, we are listed on Uniswap, SushiSwap and gate.io

If you are interested, you can go take a look.

there are many hidden advantages that NAOS have

NAOS has financing licenses in 4 different countries, which is a very important achievement that no other DeFi project has

Q4. By the way, how many people/backers are there in NAOS Finance team?

We have a decentralized team located all over the places

our portfolio and legal teams are in the US

tech team is in Taiwan and Beijing

Growth team is in US, Taiwan and Singapore

we also have operational team working on the asset origination in Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, India and Mexico

in terms of backer, we have a over 30 institutional and individual investors

including:

Coinbase Ventures
Huobi
OKex

Mechanism Capital, Hashkey, Spartan Group and many top crypto investment funds

Indonesia is a major market for us

that’s why we have a Bahasa channel on Discord!

Why do you think Indonesia for your major market?

Indonesia is the largest and fastest growing economy in Southeast Asia, and we believe Southeast Asia is going to be the future

When looking at the fastest gorwing startups

Grab, Go-Jek, Tokopedia, Bukalapa, Kredivo

their successes are based on the fast growing demand in Indonesia

for NAOS, we’re considered as “Fintech + Blockchain”, which we see to be the biggest opportunity in Indonesia

We have good relationships with many of the top Indonesian companies, including Sinar Mas, Tokopedia, PandaCredit, there will be many interesting partnership opportunities for us

Twitter Question

Q1. In your description it says that NAOS tokens can be earned by depositing compatible tokens, what is the list of tokens that are compatible with NAOS and how do they evaluate the cost of each token compared to NAOS?

I assume this question is about our product. The “formation” part. You can deposit stable coins.

and you can have a closer look here: https://medium.com/naos-finance/behold-naos-finance-product-roadmap-2c3d9fc38ab4

Q2. Could you really tell us why NAOS will require each user to complete a rigorous KYC and AML? If you really want to eliminate everything related to traditional finance, why implement KYC?

we designed the product so it’s both compliant and “defi”!

we have designed the product so lenders can stake in different pools

the “Alphia” pool is designed for institutional liquidity providers and lending partners such as MakerDao, there will be basic KYC as required by law

the “beta” pool is designed for retail and DeFi centric lenders, where they can participate in the staking without KYC

Q3. What do you think will increase the price of the NAOS token? Do you have any plans to create scarcity of NAOS tokens such as burning or buying back? or do you have your own method for that?

our business model has a very clear value capture proposition

  1. once we deployed real world assets on chain and getting them funded, NAOS will be profitable immediately and generating revenue, the revenue will be used to conduct token buyback
  2. the token will have governance property allowing the community to decide the incentive plans for different staking pools
  3. we’re working on the plan to require borrowers to hold NAOS tokens in order to borrow, which will decrease circulating supply by holding

To add into this question, would like to share with us NAOS tokenomic chart?

you can find the article here. https://medium.com/naos-finance/naos-finance-community-newsletter-tokenomics-a0caadfb26ce

Q4. As a Lending-based platform will Naos Finance also involve Staking, Mining, Farming and NFT which are currently popular among the wider community and provide many benefits for its users?

absolutely, staking and mining is part of the real world lending product design

unlike a typical DeFi project, NAOS’s staking is to amass liquidity to do real world lending

we will also have standard liquidity mining program, we currently on Sushiswap’s Onsen program

If you are interested in participating our program with Sushi, here is the article.

Q5. On the website it says that Naos accepts real world assets as collateral. Please explain how the loan process on the Naos platform uses land certificates as collateral? And how is the verification and validation process?

Like Kevin mentioned earlier, we work with licensed fintech partner as our asset evaluator and validator.

We work mainly with corporate debt, supply chain financing these type of fixed income RWA.

Because our fintech partner is fully licensed, so we are compliant in many countries

LIVE QUESTIONS

Q1. Almost 80% investors have just focused on price of token in short term instead of understanding the real value of the project. Can you tell us on motivations and benefits for investors to hold your token in long term?

Hi, we are here for the long game. We are passionate about RWA and we are passionate about solving real world problem with defi tools. We focued on our prodcut development and like Kevin mentioned before, we have solid business model and will generate revenue right after product deployed.

Q2. What is your progressive plan to ensure that project remain relevant and valuable in next 5 years ?

Q4. Focus on building and developing or getting customers and users, or partnerships?

We are focusing on building an amazing prodcut that connects real-world asset and defi world. We are here to solve that problem!

There is no priority in crypto world but we focus on product development because of our long term vision. However, like you said, listing and partnership are also important too. We are working on these two fronts as well. Please follow us.

We offer borrowers a better rate when they take loans from DeFi, much lower than if they take it from the banks, and we charge a small fee on it

Q13. Do $NAOS holders have right to participate in the governance of the project? On what kind of decisions can they vote on about the project?

We’re designing the process so the token holders and decide on

3. the use of treasury
4. product development and implementation
5. asset class expansion

and many more to come

We build our produt on Eth but will have intergration with other chains in the future e.g. BSC. Multi-chain solution is the future and we do have a bright future.

Q15. I would like to know if you’ve completed any security audits? Perhaps by third-parties? We’ve seen dozens of hacks, exploits and stuff like that this year, What measures have been taken to protect NAOS community from it?

Yes, we have completed the first round of audit, and will engage more audit

auditors to help making our product more secured!
